Hey everyone!! I missed you tons! I am excited for what is to come. April brings my favorite season and smells, despite my allergies!! The breeze brings the smell of freshly cut wet grass, reminiscent of childhood soccer games. I remember the moms always stuffed us with oranges at halftime, and I hated them!!
Oranges were NOT my favorite fruit, not even like the top 5 as a kid. Little did I know that not only was Spring prime for orange picking, the moms were looking out for us. Oranges a full of vitamin C for stamina and provide high amounts of water, helping to rehydrate after running up and down the field.
As an adult, I can manage a whole orange, but not always pulp. Yes, I realize this is weird.
I realized over winter, that monthly documentation of harvestable produce was too time-consuming. Also, Seasons….duh. We’re ALL learning here. Don’t judge me!
Anyways, I am excited for spring produce. It brings more produce and color to our plates and recipes! I’m talking raspberries, pineapples, mangoes, swiss chard, purples, reds, yellows, mangoes, greens, asparagus, did I mention MANGOES!!??!? Get ready for glowing skin, happy tummies, and being yummies!! Happy April!!!
